Dear Valued Customer,
We would like to take this opportunity to update you on the developing situation in Kwazulu-Natal.
We are currently experiencing severe weather conditions across the region, with incoming reports of flooding across our network within the past 24-hrs. At present several areas and major routes remain inaccessible as a result.
Our Durban facility is operational however, many roads and areas within Durban remain flooded and inaccessible. As a result, our on-time delivery performance will be impacted as well as our collection capabilities.
In the Pietermaritzburg area we are seeing much of the same, with many roads remaining closed due to flooding. Unfortunately, our inbound freight into Pietermaritzburg has not been able to get through our facility yet. This will be hampering our abilities to deliver and collect in the area.
The Richards Bay area remains operational today with minor impact experienced on the ground. However, the N2 between Durban and Richards Bay remains inaccessible and as a result no inbound or outbound freight has been able to get through.
We continue to monitor the situation and will share any critical updates as information becomes available. Our staff has been advised to exercise extreme caution out on the roads and ensure we apply safety first in all situations.
We thank you for your patience and understanding under these circumstances.
Sincerely yours,
Hein Bruyns
