Dear Valued Customers,
With the start of the new week we are hopeful that we will see a relative return to normality in our country soon. The events of the past week have been extraordinarily challenging and unprecedented.
We saw some calm return to the situation in Kwa-Zulu Natal late last week. Our branches in the region remained closed, for security reason, and we are now pleased to report that we have not suffered any losses or damages to property. Our staff are safe and while no physical harm was suffered the emotional scars will remain.
The N3 highway between Gauteng and Kwa-Zulu Natal opened during the course of Friday and by late evening our first linehaul truck from Johannesburg had arrived in Durban. Our teams in Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Ladysmith, and Richards Bay were able to successfully deliver more than 2000 shipments over the course of Saturday and Sunday, where and when it was safe to do so.
While the clean-up of the affected areas continues, we are monitoring the situation closely and will make any relevant adjustments as and when needed. This could mean that certain routes may not be serviced at a particular time over safety concerns. We will however ensure that relevant communication is shared in such instances.
Should you require any additional information or guidance please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Customer Relationship Manger, or branch manager immediately. Alternatively reach out to our live chat service on www.aramex.co.za
Sincerely Yours,
