Customer Update – Protest Actions 12 July

12 July 2021

Dear Valued Customers,

As many of you are aware there have been several confirmed reports of increased protest action around the country today. The majority of these protests have been concentrated in the Kwa-Zulu Natal region, however more reports of protests are being reported throughout different parts of the country. As these protests have been particularly violent and destructive, all linehaul carriers, delivery personnel and office staff have been advised to exercise extreme caution on our roads. The
following Aramex South Africa offices are currently closed and completely inaccessible: Ladysmith, Pietermaritzburg, Durban, and Richards Bay. Regrettably no deliveries or collections will take place in any of these cities today.

In Johannesburg we are receiving various reports of protests from the East Rand to the West Rand, with the CBD itself being completely inaccessible. As this is an evolving situation more areas may be classified as “off limits” during the day.

We continue to monitor the developing situation through our security services and will adjust the daily operations where needed. We have several contingencies in place at present to minimize disruptions where possible. The safety and security of our workforce remains paramount.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding during these challenging times, and we remain committed to delivering a safe, reliable service to all our customers.

Should you require any additional information or guidance please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Customer Relationship Manger, or branch manager immediately. Alternatively reach out to our live chat service on www.aramex.co.za

Sincerely Yours,

George Van Der Merwe
