Customer Update – Protest Actions 15 July

15 July 2021

Dear Valued Customers,

Thank you for your continued support and words of encouragement during these challenging times, we at Aramex South Africa truly appreciate this.
The current situation across the country, and particularly in KZN, remains unpredictable and volatile. We continue to monitor the developments closely on an hourly basis.

Our daily operations remain heavily affected in the following branches: Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Ladysmith, and Richards Bay. These branches have been closed since the start of the week and will remain closed for the remainder of the week. Volatility on the ground remain extremely high, and the safety and security of our workforce is paramount. The good news is that while there have been other isolated incidents across many cities in South Africa, none have affected our daily operations outside of Kwa-Zulu Natal. We do monitor hotspot areas and ensure that our couriers avoid these.

The main artery that connects Johannesburg and Durban remains closed. We are therefore unable to run our daily linehauls between Johannesburg and KZN. With the expanded roll out of the SANDF we hope that this route will be accessible in the near future.
We are also cognisant of the reports of looming fuel shortages in the KZN province. We are putting specific measures and contingencies in place to deal with this developing situation.

As a nation we have endured much in a short space of time. We are hopeful that we will start seeing a return to normality soon. We remain committed to providing you the best possible service during these challenging times.

Should you require any additional information or guidance please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Customer Relationship Manger, or branch manager immediately. Alternatively reach out to our live chat service on www.aramex.co.za

Sincerely Yours,
