Customer Update – Taxi Strike Action Cape Town – 7 August

Taxi Strike Action Cape Town – 7 August

Dear Valued Customer,

We regret to inform you of expected delays in the greater Cape Town region today as a
result of the ongoing taxi strike.

Unfortunately, talks between government and the union failed to resolve the matter
over the weekend. This morning we have already received several confirmed reports of
blockades on major routes and highways as well as violence hotspot. Some reports of
intimidation have also been verified. Major routes to and from the airport are severely
affected and we anticipate that the CBD will experience the same.

Deliveries will proceed as scheduled this morning across the city, however all couriers
have been advised to exercise extreme caution and to immediately vacate areas of
unrest or violence. The safety of our staff is paramount. In such cases where deliveries
are delayed customers will be notified and relevant tracking updates posted.

The current situation remains fluid and we continue to monitor it closely. Any
significant developments will be communicated as it happens, based on available
information at the time.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. Should you need further
assistance or details kindly reach out to your Customer Relationship Manager
immediately, or alternatively you can reach out to our live chat team on

Sincerely,
Hein Bruyns
