Customer Update – Cape Town Route Delays – 3 August

Cape Town Route Delays – 3 August

Dear Valued Customer,

We regret to inform you that on the afternoon of the 3rd of August, various taxi
operators embarked on an unexpected strike across the city of Cape Town.
Various reports were received of blocked roads and cordoned off areas in the CBD as
well as other areas. Further disruptions were experienced on various highways with
entire sections being blocked off, vehicles reported to be on fire and stoning of
vehicles.

As a result, we immediately recalled all couriers in Cape Town from their routes over
specific safety concerns. The safety and security of our staff is paramount.
Unfortunately, this did have an impact on delivery of certain shipments as well as our
ability to complete collections successfully. Affected customers in Cape Town were
notified of specific delays.

We are pleased to report that the situation did stabilise during the night, and we were
able to successfully lodge collected cargo on the evening line hauls, by air and by road.
This morning there have been no reports of strikes or unrest and we are resuming
business as usual. Any deliveries not completed yesterday will be handled as priority
this morning along with all new inbound deliveries received over night.

We thank you for your patience and understanding. Should you need further
assistance or details kindly reach out to your Customer Relationship Manager
immediately, or alternatively you can reach out to our live chat team on
