Customer Update – Taxi Strike Action Cape Town – 8 August

Taxi Strike Action Cape Town – 8 August

Dear Valued Customer,

We thank you for your continued patience and understanding during this time.
Unfortunately, the situation in Cape Town remains relatively unchanged.

We have received several reports this morning of continued road blockades and unrest
across the greater Cape Town and Stellenbosch areas. Some areas remain inaccessible
and will have significant impact on our ability to collect and deliver. Our Stellenbosch
hub is severely impacted today, and we will not be able to provide a collection or
delivery service there. At present we are giving first priority to all medical shipments,
and shipments of an urgent nature, in areas that can be serviced. We will however see
more undelivered shipments as a result. We continue to monitor the situation to ensure
that we are abreast of any new developments. As the safety and security of our staff is
paramount, all couriers have been advised to exercise extreme caution on the roads.

Our outbound linehauls from Cape Town was lodged successfully last night by road and
air, and this morning we have been able to retrieve inbound cargo from Cape Town
International Airport. We are hoping to experience the same tonight.

We remain committed to providing you with a trusted service and we will endeavour to
deliver shipments on time, where possible.

Again, we sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding. Should you need
further assistance or details kindly reach out to your Customer Relationship Manager
immediately, or alternatively you can reach out to our live chat team on

Sincerely,
