Limited Cargo Freighter Availability – Festive Period
Dear Valued Customer,
We would like to inform you that as of the 23rd of December 2022 until the 28th of December 2022, there will be limited flight availability on domestic cargo freighters. The last freighter will be operated on the morning of the 23rd of December 2022.
As an alternative we will be relying on domestic passenger flights to transport Overnight cargo between most of our branches. Unfortunately, during the festive period, we do face the possibility of cargo offloads by airlines, as they give priority to passenger luggage. However, in the event of such a situation we will be notifying all affected customers.
All routes between Johannesburg and the following branches, as well as connections, will be impacted by this change: Cape Town, Stellenbosch, George, Port Elizabeth, East London.
To meet the requirements of lodging cargo on time with airlines we will need to move up all collection cut off times in these areas to 14h00, as of the 23rd of December 2022. Regular collection cut off times will resume on the 3rd of January 2023.
Our Store-To-Door service, located in Pick ‘n Pay, Checkers and FreshStop will also be impacted by the earlier collection times in these areas.
